James Oglethorpe brought to life the town squares of colonial Savannah Georgia and organized an enduring community. Oglethorpe Solutions desires to help each client fulfill its mission, uphold its obligations with speed and trust, and excel in confidence. We are an evolving, entrepreneurial group that draws together individual professional experience that covers more than 30 years on average. The current business model envisions multi-sided platforms that integrate management consulting and professional services in closely related sectors.
Oglethorpe Solutions LLC began offering services in 2018, as it established the Education Risk Intelligence Center and assumed responsibility for continuity of the Public School Risk Institute, formed a decade earlier. The firm’s co-founders were drawn together by this work and other consulting and business relationships developed through association over the previous two decades.
The origins of the firm go back to the late 1980s when a professional service entity was formed to complement work being done by a managing general agency in the governmental insurance market. Oglethorpe Management Services launched the Law Enforcement Liability Management Institute and assisted police chiefs in Georgia with their standard operating procedures. We served as the safety group administrator for the Georgia City-County Insurance Plan and built a foundation for growth of the Community Asset Protection System. In the early 1990s, the firm guided a collaborative team in the successful launch of the Georgia School Boards Association Workers’ Compensation Fund.
Our practice group has grown to include professionals from fields of work that reflect the dynamic and interconnected needs of risk owners seeking to be more confident across a broad range of strategy and operations.
